Khaya Power qualified for the finals by winning the “Energy” category in the Cape Town leg of the competition in February this year.
Khaya Power is up against ideas and startups from Cities like Tel Aviv, Berlin, Sao Paulo and Moscow.
“We hope that the Juz Box proves to be the little battery that can stand up to many innovative ideas from around the world. Not only is the Challenge a great opportunity to show off our ideas, but the week is filled with lectures around relevant and cutting edge issues for transforming our world and helping new businesses tackle these challenges” says Dave Lello, partner to founder Billy Hadlow.
We are also very fortunate to have Meyer from Globetom with us for the week to help demonstrate our new cloud based voucher management system. This includes a full customer CRM system with a loyalty point program. Globetom developed GP# as a prepaid voucher management distribution system which is already being used in Africa to distribute Airtime Vouchers. The co-development between Globetom and Khaya Power now adds powerful asset tracking capabilities and a rental model for items not normal affordable to shack dwellers.
On Tuesday 13 May, Khaya Power will pitch there ideas against others in the category.
